EC Member Dr. Anette Wu Honored with Prestigious ASPIRE Award

The International Collaboration and Exchange Program (ICEP), founded by Anette Wu, MD, MPH, PhD—Associate Professor of Medical Sciences (in Medicine) and Pathology and Cell Biology, and CUAFA Executive Committee member—has been recognized with the 2025 ASPIRE-to-Excellence Award in International Collaboration in Health Professions Education by the International Association for Health Professions Education (AMEE).

Founded in 2014, ICEP is dedicated to advancing science diplomacy and fostering global collaboration in health professions education. This international recognition highlights the impact of ICEP’s mission in bringing together diverse voices to strengthen health education worldwide.

Dr. Wu said, “I am deeply honored by this recognition.” She noted that the ASPIRE Award not only affirms the international impact of the ICEP program, but also highlights the positive contributions of the Columbia academic community. She hopes it will serve as an inspiring example of how Asian faculty at CUIMC contribute meaningfully across a wide spectrum of fields, including global health and medical education.
