Thanks, 2025; Welcome, 2026! - A New Year’s Message from CUAFA President Dr. Anil K. Lalwani

Dr. Anil K. Lalwani, CUAFA president, offers a 2026 new year message to CUAFA community.

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

As we come to the close of the year 2025 and look ahead to the New Year, I would like to extend my warmest wishes to each of you and to reflect on what has been a truly meaningful and productive year for the Columbia University Asian Faculty Association.

Together, we celebrated a highly successful Annual Gala that brought our community together in a spirit of connection and purpose. Our fall picnic offered a welcome opportunity for informal fellowship, while the Asian American Entrepreneur Association’s 2025 National Summit “Join Our Journey” allowed CUAFA to showcase our wonderful university. In addition, our collaborative programs with campus partners, such as the Fall 2025 Harvest of Harmony, strengthened visibility, dialogue, and engagement across the University.

Most importantly, we take great pride in the remarkable accomplishments of our faculty this year—across research, education, clinical care, and service. Your contributions continue to enrich Columbia and advance its mission in profound ways.

As we enter the New Year, we remain committed to fostering community, supporting excellence, and advocating for equity and inclusion. I look forward to building on our momentum together and to creating new opportunities for collaboration and impact in the year ahead.

Thank you for your engagement, leadership, and collegiality. Wishing you and your families a joyful holiday season and a healthy, fulfilling, and successful New Year.

With warm regards,

Anil K. Lalwani, MD

President, Columbia University Asian Faculty Association
